Dear mr. Epstein:
How are you? I hope you are well. My name is David Lopez, and I'm contributor from the spanish edition of
Vanity Fair magazine. I've been asked to write a profile story for Sarah Ferguson, and I'm writing you because I
would like to kindly ask you for your participation in it. I'm not, of course, focusing it in the issue related with
prince Andrew, but in her by herself, in who she is today, the new comeback she is doing and how she has been,
kind of, coming back from the ashes from time to time. I'm writing you because now that most of the media talk
about you and the prince, I prefer to ask you to talk and share with me your experience and view of her, if you
could kindly accept my request.
Of course, I would like if we could talk on the record, but if doing it off the record could be only chance, I would
be glad of doing it that way.
I also would be glad, of course, to send you further details about my request or even about me or my previous
work, so you could easily the kind ofjournalist I am and the kind of journalism I do. I've done stories and
interviews in different parts of the world, with relevant people from the Dalai Lama, to Bolivian president Evo
Morales to infamous murderer Charles Manson, who granted me his first interview in 20 years.
I'm not interested in gossip or tabloids, but in doing a proper and honest piece. And if I have accepted to do this
work because is because I think she is very interesting character to write a story about.
I hope you can accept this request.
warm regards from Madrid,
David Lo ez
