Regarding our projects that Jeffrey has helped fund, the main initiative is: -- The ongoing OpenCog initiative to create an open source Artificial General Intelligence system, see http://opencog.orgi Within the scope of the OpenCog project, one thing Jeffrey helped with was -- A project to apply OpenCog to control intelligent virtual characters. A summary of this project is in the attached PDF, including some images of the characters, and some indications of the published papers resulting from the project. This research is ongoing. Also, a new project, just started quite recently: -- applying OpenCog to control David Hanson's humanoid robots. David and I made this for the EFTA00872825 Global Future 2045 conference in NY this summer... We have gotten one of David's robots in our OpenCog lab quite recently and expect to start with this robotics work this fall...
