From: Jeffrey Epstein To: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]>, Cecile de Jongh Subject: from the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2012 15:00:23 +0000 Hi Jeffrey and Cecile: This looks very interesting. Read below. It's a result of my Alzheimer's article. Forwarded message From: Brandt, Susan Date: Thu, Jun 21, 2012 at 10:35 AM Subject: Genomic research To: ' 'c The John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics has as its leader, Dr. Margaret A. Pericak-Vance, the woman whose team discovered the APoE4 gene and identified it as a risk gene for Alzheimer's disease. Her work has been cited 25,172 times by other researchers. Last year, she was part of an international consortium that identified ten more genes related to Alzheimer's risk. Dr. Pericak-Vance excels at the integration of genomic and statistical technologies and their application to diseases of public health importance in general, and to neurologic diseases in particular. John Hussman, Ph.D., president of the Hussman Funds in New York, sought out Dr. Pericak-Vance for her expertise in autism genomics when his child was diagnosed with autism. They worked together to develop a stronger statistical/mathematical program for analyzing the massive amounts of autism data. I have attached an article from Fortune magazine about that effort. The Hussman Institute is the largest genomics research center in the Southeastern U.S. I am writing to see if there would be an opportunity for us to speak with your organization about our research and discoveries. Dr. Pericak-Vance travels extensively and we could arrange something around her travel schedule but we would especially like to invite you and/or Mr. Epstein to come visit the labs! Please let me know if we might schedule something to begin the conversation. Sincerely, Sue Brandt EFTA00877310 Susan Blair Brandt, M.Ed., CFRE Executive Director of Development John P.
