I connected with Alexandra Wolfe. I sent her our statement and said we had expected she was going to fact
check the story with us. She said she had written it yet, but shared what she had/ As she was talking I was

She said the story is based on the Prince Andrew stuff. It is more of a society story —how people are received
after they having a sentence like Jeffrey's: events at his house, how the British are going crazy over Prince
Andrew and the NY'ers don't care. She is not calling VR (though I pointed out to her the Gore allegations and
that you had never met the Gores); She said she has the Scott Rothstein complaint (told her about his being
convicted) — afterwards she said she is not sure what she is going to do with that, if anything.
She said scientists and friends who have a different opinion of Jeffrey than is being reflected in the press.
She told me (confidentially) that Peggy Siegel sent the Rothstein stuff. I used that opening to again educate
her about Rothstein. Her response was that she had heard he seemed to trump up a lot of the charges against
you because he told investors that you had agreed to settle for 200 million, but that was not the case; had
investors giving him money and were putting pressure on him.
She then began to sort of fact check, though the article is not yet written. She will call back tomorrow.
