It would run for 5 hrs then shut down 3, The computer for determining fault codes is in PR having update Cat programme installed and is expected back next week, this is for all Cat heavy equipment. 4. Alternator was sent out to be tested, it came back clean, but after re installing it and running the machine it would shut down after 5hrs, the alternator was broken down and checked in the field and it was discovered that the diodes would fail after operating for approx 5hrs, but would reset when machine cooled down, hence clean test result. please note without having the diagnostic equipment, this is time consuming 5. A new compatible alternator purchased locally and was adapted 6. the Dozer is running Compatiable Part was sourced locally, purchased and adapted, meaning wiring had to be changed I hope the this addresses your concerns.
