Jeffrey,
My gut tells me that its 50/50 chances at best we'll get insurance approval tomorrow. The hostel atmosphere we
experienced today from our current underwriters Willis was great, since they where not given the chance to quote this trip,
which was very understandable, Rich Kahn and myself have requested a price for 125 operation since April from Willis our
current underwriters, they needed more time and a definitive itinerary. During early conversations this year with Willis, they
needed to know who would be on board the trips and itinerary during the charters, you and I both know in a charter
situation, you do not know much in advance, and its a silly question to ask, which made me leery of their knowledge of
charter pricing. They are certainly a good company to deal with and have given good coverage and pricing, both ground
and flight.
Do to the timing of this mission, I thought it was best for Universal's insurance agent to quote this Boeing flight, however
once Willis found out what was going on, they did not have any good words about Meridian Insurance, as you seen in their
comments earlier today. I guess the only thing to do is, see if they produce an acceptable insurance binder tomorrow at the
price we where given. Rich will work directly with Meridian Insurance to make sure he his satisfied with the proposal,
and present to you for approval. We will also request cancellation policy and find out the terms if canceled or put on ground
only after this trip.
thank you,
Larry
