Richard Subject: re: fire alarm Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 10:59:58 -0400 From: To: CC: Mr.Barnett, as per our discussion please know that in order to upgrade your fire alarm we must have our engineering dept involved and cost alone is in the 15k-20k range without doing any equipment upgrades there for filing with building dept /fire dept + necessary as built drawings that need to be done there. Fire alarms of this scope can be 100k and up depending on not if we can use the existing cabling and keep with the same equipment locations...or in order to meet current codes the system must be expanded upon with additional wiring etc.. Please alert ownership of this possible investment before we call in engineering to go through the building to give a more definite cost for this project. Given this is a fire alarm I am sure however that ownership would want a system that meets with fire code for safety and liability reasons.- also a system that is reliable and up to date as far as technology is concerned.
