Jeffrey,
Morrison just notified my of an emergency bulletin issued by Gulfstream, must be complied by July 18th or 10 flight
hours.
tt is an inspection on Gil and GIII aircraft, area of concern is wing attach fitting for proper gap, if repairs have been done
by a repair facility in regards to wing attach fitting area. We did have work in the wing attach area 6 years ago due to
corrosion, and Gulfstream has looked in this area during our 72 month inspection this year. It do not expect a problem, I
plan to have this AD complied with June 17th on return to Teterboro if you agree with this? my other option is to have
Meridian in Teterboro complete this visual inspection tonight? it takes two hours only, if there is a problem, we are
grounded and will have to ferry to heavy maintenance facility, Midcoast (St Louis or Gulfstream
ft may make sense to have Gulftream or other heavy maintenance facility comply with inspection, in case there is an
issue found.
Gulfstream found a large gap on an old Gil that had maintenance completed in the wing attach fitting area that was done
incorrectly with Gulfstream repair drawings, this problem in turn effects all operators in the fleet.
do you agree with compliance on June 17th, when we return to NY?
thank you,
Larry
