From: Richard Kahn To: "jeffrey E." <[email protected]> Subject: Fwd: American Yacht Harbor - Roofs Date: Mon, 27 Nov 2017 13:52:30 +0000 please advise on roof color thank you Richard Kahn HBRK Associates Inc. 575 Lexington Avenue 4th Floor New York NY 10022 tel fa cel Begin forwarded message: From: "Simonton, Eric" < Subject: American Yacht Harbor - Roofs Date: November 27, 2017 at 8:45:43 AM EST To: Richard Kahn < Cc: "Mukamal, Thomas" Richard, , "Lande, Mark" < I hope you had a great holiday weekend. We wanted to inform you and Jeffrey that as a result of the hurricane damage at American Yacht Harbor, we will be replacing all of the roofs. They are all beyond their useful life and have suffered such damage that it is not practical to attempt to repair them. We have a contractor lined up to commence the work. The reason for my email is that I recall some discussion a few years back about changing the color scheme of the property, including the roofs. We are fairly indifferent on the subject, but I recall Jeffrey had a strong preference for blue roofs. Before ordering the material, I wanted to confirm whether Jeffrey had a preference, noting that if we change the color we may also need to repaint the property with another color scheme in the future to match. I apologize for the short notice, but we will need to make a decision on this in the next 24 hrs. We expect some or all of the estimated $850k expense to be covered by insurance, however we have not had detailed discussions with the insurance adjuster yet. It is approximately 4 weeks to order the materials and about 12 weeks to complete the entire project. The roofs on B/C building (where Southern Trust is located) will be prioritized as those roofs are in the worst condition. Please let me know if you require any additional information.
