Greetings all, last friday during the morning run on Little C the starboard engine (old engine) cut off without warning or making
any kind of noise, this is the same engine that burns oil and we have been watching it for quite a while offshore had indicated
that oil was burning thru the pistons and being an aluminum block no fix but add oil. Upon further examination on the island
and removing the plugs we noticed the lower portion of the spark plug had melted in the piston causing catastrophic damage.
I had offshore come and plug the computer to verify our findings and this was their diagnostic, I will provide a quote for a new
F300 hundred shortly this is what they recommend due to hours of use and also the time frame of a new powerhead or block
thats not available at this time.
Thankyou
Carlos
