We have received 4 new runs of the Qtr Silver Birch Veneer from our vendor Booth Veneer (same supplier of the sample you received from IJI). All 4 runs exactly match the sample we initially finished and presented to you. Our woodshop cut a small strip off of your IJI sample and stripped it down to the veneer and it too matches the flitches we finished for you. This tells us that the difference in the coloring between our samples and IJI's is in the finish not the flitches. Unfortunately, we cannot change our finishing product to match IJI's as we have one standard, certified finish which we use on all aircraft. The only solution we can offer is to tone the veneer, however this will change the overall look of the veneer - you will loose the depth and very possibly the silver sheen in the veneer that is so beautiful. Also, I must mention toning would add to the overall time and cost of re-veneering the aircraft.
