Great bike for highway cruising (115 mph on the autobahn). A little too much for the hairpin passes and city driving. They are high and heavy so difficult to back up, no reverse gear. When I got home and took out the Triumph it felt like a toy. We went through the area where Germany, Austria, and Italy meet. Spent a day in Salzburg, another day in Garmish, had dinner by Lake Como. Etc etc. I was with Charlie, Spunky's friend from CA. Good guy. The weather forecasts were not good when we left. It showed rain just about every day. But if there is a 30-40% chance of rain then there is a 60-70% chance of no rain. We lucked out and had pretty good weather the whole time except for the first day when we got caught in a rain/hail storm. % inch size hail and a lot of it. Had to pull over and get under something. Never saw that before, but it was brief. I had bought good riding gear so stayed dry and warm. We have Bluetooth sets in the helmets so we could talk to each other the entire time. Going through the hail I kept hearing Charlie go ouch, ouch, ouch, as the hail hit his legs. I've been on IZMO this weekend prepping it for a survey. Assuming the are no fatal flaws, I am donating it to a charity. Will look for another boat when I get back from Europe (going to London and then my place in Italy from July 3-19). The boat is worth more as a deduction and I don't have to wait potentially a year or two for a sale while still incurring the cost and not being able to get another one. From: jeffrey E.
