The main ones we use are : Christie's worldwide Sotheby's worldwide Phillips worldwide Piasa Paris Pierre Berge Paris / Brussels Tajan Paris Artcurial Paris I have contacted Christie's and Sotheby's in Geneva to know the documents needed to open an account, these are. Name and address ID document such as national identity card or passport Proof of current address such as a utility bill or bank statement A financial statement or letter of reference from J.E Telephone number Email address If or myself ( I normally do all the bidding on behalf of ) a signed letter from J.E.authorizing the bidder to act on his behalf. I will call the other auction houses to know what their requirements are if different from the above. When the account is opened ( New York for example for Christie's, Sotheby's, Phillips ) J.E. is given a number that is used worldwide for any purchases made in J.E. 's name. At this stage, everything that we have bought for J.E. has been paid for by wand will be stored in Paris in a super safe place rented for this purpose. will check what has to be cleaned or upholstered. However we have bought from Phillips N.York on 28th Nov. a painting by Carlos by Jacanamijoy that should sent direct to the place that you have found in New York. If useful to you we consign all our shipments to a broker in N. York whose name is Tom Sullivan Transportation Management Inc. This should be done quite soon as storage by Phillips is free only for 30 days following the auction, Do let me know as I have to send Phillips a release order.
