In reviewing our records, it appears that the donations were made by Mr. and Mrs. Black personally, rather than through their Foundation. In order to ensure our records are complete, I will need a confirmation from them that they are authorizing the transfer or that you have the authority to authorize the transfer on their behalf. A simple letter stating that they authorize the transfer of funds from the ASU Foundation to the MIT Media Lab would be sufficient. Upon further review, we need to reconfirm the amount that we would send based on other gifts for the same purpose and remaining unspent funds. I will need to obtain this information from our finance team and will let you know that amount once we receive documentation of the power to redirect. Thank you for your patience.
