Room 1420 is ideal - big enough to fit 50 and cozy enough that it still feels like a smallish seminar group, and of course the piano and three types of chalkboard/whiteboard). Having a TA will allow us to go back to assigning weekly homework problem sets, which I had to cut out this past Quarter in order to increase the class size from 25 to 50 students. Plus I may add a mid-term exam. Pending your inputs, I suggest we plan to increase enrollment and find the appropriate rooms etc for AY 2019- 2020 in the next few months. That might include planning for a two-quarter lecture-and-sections course that would include all the seminars I had to cut out of the original Harvard (semester) version of the course to fit UCLA's quarter system (the topics I've had to delete include timbre, voice, speech, development, evolution, genetics, one of the two pitch seminars (I used to do one on simple pitch and one on complex pitch) and one of the two harmony seminars (I used to do one on vertical harmony and one on horizontal harmony).
