From: J <[email protected]> To: Richard Kahn Subject: Fwd: Biking for the Cure—One More Time Date: Tue, 12 Mar 2019 16:14:16 +0000 send 10k Forwarded message From: Steve Susman Date: Tue, Mar 12, 2019 at 12:09 PM Subject: Biking for the Cure—One More Time To: <[email protected]> EFTA01030542 Dear Jeffrey, Three years ago I promised I was retiring from riding and fundraising for the MS150, a two-day bike trip from Houston to Austin that raises more money to cure Multiple Sclerosis than any other event in the country. At the time I made that promise, I had been biking for 5 years and thought that, at 75, I should be doing something safer and more sedentary. That was before I discovered the bliss of e-bikes and learned that they were now allowed on the MS150. I also learned that my law firm's team, Swift Justice, had dwindled to two riders and the event itself had lost 5000 riders and considerable fund raising. So, on the condition that at least 40 of my colleagues agree to ride and raise with me, I announced I would make a "final farewell tour" at age 78. That condition has been met, I've bought a brand-new Trek electric road bike and the MS Society has agreed I can ride it wearing my old #1 but with an "E," that stands either for "electric" or "emeritus," appended. The catch is that to ride, I've got to raise. When I think about how close we are to finding a cure for this horrible disease and how important is every dime we contribute, I overcome my embarrassment in reneging on my promise not to ever solicit you again. Please click on this hyperlink, and like my wife Ellen, who jump-started my efforts with a $10,000 gift, help us wipe out MS: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/SteveSusman2019BPMS150 Steve Susman 1000 Louisiana, 51st Floor Houston, TX 77002 713-653-7801 Cell 713-478-6444 Susman Godfrey's Momentous 2018 (5.26 min. video) <https://www.youtube.congembed/dcB5M-Ow0fQ?rel=0&autoay=1> Why You Should Want Susman Godfrey on Your Side (6 min. video) <http://bit.ly/1TFayRh> SusmanGodfrey.com <http://www.susmangodfrey.cong> http://trialbyagreement.com Susman Godfrey L.L.P.
