Justin pinged General Counsel yesterday for an update, and was told that she doesn't know status and I should contact OEI.. which means OEI hasn't yet met with GC on final report, or else they did and GC required changes.. and GC said OEI woman is out all next week, and GC is out the following week, so it doesn't look like I will get any resolution soon.. sigh. So, you saw the story in the times about the poor guy who got triple jeopardy? We were happy to see it in the Times, which up to now has been so fucking pro-accuser.. the statement of the Harvard Law faculty was impressive.. there is pressure to adjust the system. Meanwhile poor Morgan Freeman found himself in a similar situation to me.. but he has more lawyers.. :) Will see how that plays out. On other matters, I just accepted an offer for the condo in Phoenix yesterday.. so it sold before the summer heat! Yay.. and I think I may have convinced the buyer to buy the furniture... which would make moving a lot easier.. (just fyi.. this is independent of ASU decision.. Just part of our decision to simplify life a bit.. I had decided it was unnecessary overhead to have a condo and car in Phoenix given that I am there at most 6-8 days a month.. easier to stay in a cheap hotel beside campus on those days, or even sleep in my office if just overnight... ). Am going to Phoenix a week from sat to drive my car back up to Oregon (we got rid of our two cars here and replaced them with one car on my birthday on Sunday) and plan rest of move.. I had hoped by then to know what was happening at the University, and was eager to get back to that, but now it looks like that might not be the case. Lawrence M.
