I walked away from the US deal because they were trying to put together an agreement that would validate 50% of my shares only after 24 months, after which time the majority partner would have the power to change the valuation and thereby dilute my shares. Really sneaky stuff, and I just stepped back and acted dumb. My main focus was on Brazil, much cheaper shares and would get me the same results (pussy). But now they're being shady again and even tho I can prove that they are not negotiating in good faith and have therefore breached the terms of our MoU agreement I don't know if the French courts would reimburse me for any damages such as legal fees, trip to Brazil, etc. Do you know anything about how these things work in Paris? In the US I could litigate and at some point when they would start racking up the legal fees some settlement could be reached. Not sure how that works in Paris or how something like this could be resolved (I'm not prepared to pay an attorney 12k USD for a deal that falls through). The other question is do you know any good attorneys in Paris? I mean somebody well known enough that a mere phone call or letter from him would cause them to reconsider their current course of action. I'll be in Brazil in a couple weeks. I hoped to have this deal done by then, but they keep dragging things out. I never knew French people to be so seedy.
