FAA CRS SYGR488K BOEING 727-100 AUXILIARY FUEL PROPOSAL No. 201601 Southeast Aero-Tek, Inc. is proposing the following nine tank configuration with the tanks located in the FWD and AFT cargo compartments. This configuration is not specifically approved under several of our STCs and will require additional engineering for approval. Additionally, the installation of five tanks in the Forward Cargo area takes up all the cargo area and the Forward Cargo Door is locked in place, only to be opened for maintenance. Also the additional 4th tank in the AFT Cargo (STC ST01587AT) requires a modification to the AFT Cargo door to allow the door to open. Total cost of the system (KIT) Which DOES NOT include installation is one million two hundred twenty thousand dollars (1,220,000.00) Below are the itemized costs and expenses for the Boeing 727-100 Auxiliary Fuel System ("KIT") Nine Tank Configuration. Configuration I: Eight (8) three hundred thirty (330) gallon and One (1) three hundred (300) gallon cylindrical tanks in the FWD and AFT cargo compartments. The (300) is installed in the FWD door area. No fire protection or extinguishing system provided. I.) The kit price includes in addition to the tanks all support hardware to mount the tanks in the aircraft plus; A. New Digital Fuel Quantity System and conduit for wire separation, it Does not include the removal of the existing FQIS system. B. New plumbing and fittings for fuel, vent and bleed air lines. The existing lines removal is not covered and is required. C. All required manuals, AFM Supplement, Weight & Balance Etc. D. Engineering costs for evaluating aircraft suitability and deviations from FAA approved configurations. E. FAA Certification costs which include drawing changes, AFM changes, ICA and other manual revisions. 2.)1 can not estimate installation charges until the existing tank structure is evaluated for possible integration with our structure. If not it will need to be removed. 3.) There are numerous configurations of tanks that can be installed in this aircraft that will allow more cargo area.
