Designed for offshore operation in "all weather", the RIB performs well in heavier seas, stabilizing, softening the ride through swells and chop. The deep-Vee hull design is ideal for a smooth ride. At rest or at trolling speeds the over-sized inflatable tubes acts as a stabilizer for a more comfortable platform on the sea. Ideal fast response vessel, capable of 40-45 knots (diesel inboard or outboards) top speed. The RIB 40 has a short turning radius. The jet drive versions can execute an emergency "stop", going from full speed to zero in seconds. Has been used successfully in law enforcement and military projects too. Standard outboard power is twin Yamaha F350hp. Outboard power is available with 2 or 3 engines. Inboard diesel stern drive also available. Inside the enclosed pilothouse, the helm is located starboard of the cabin and navigation station on the port side. Full electrical panel and engine instruments are provided with lighting for night operations.
