The attorney also has been criticized for not being a team player. For example, he voted against emergency funding for an AIDS care and treatment center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, prompting one delegation leader to note that such votes make it difficult to negotiate regional support when Broward needs it. Titone said he thought the money should be spent on research. Emphasizing the need to defeat bad bills, Titone said he fought for landlords' rights in the mobile home reforms pushed by Rep. Tom Armstrong, D-Plantation, saying, "I tied that bill up for three weeks." Titone logged a questionable attendance record this year, missing five of the first 27 days the House was in session, according to Clerk of the House records. Titone attributed one absence to "a death in my wife's family ... it was her uncle's son," but conceded that his attendance record could be better and that he will "try to improve" it. Titone did work hard on what he called his main priority -- to help bring a $2.8 million aquatic complex to Coral Springs. He also achieved some success in his bill calling for new judges to be elected rather than appointed this year. Also approved was Titone's plan to enable public school and community colleges to accept certain donations of goods and services in lieu of student fees. Besides his disbarment, The Florida Bar Reprimands include Case NO. 71,699 Titone failed to show up for a hearing and his client lost another Case NO. 71,182 After receiving money from a client to handle a cocaine charge Titone with drew never showing up for the hearing. In both cases he was charged with failure to protect his clients interest, making a false statement and charged with conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation; a public reprimand was given and restitution was made to his clients. How he got his license back to practice law says something about the Florida Bar. This charlatan has been scamming fees for years. You hire him, pay him and he does very little or nothing. Even when he was a State Representative he was totally useless, just read his reviews while he was in office 1982-1988 district 89 Broward County Florida; totally worthless. He took money from a drug dealer after the State paid him for the case in 1992 and was arrested by the State Attorney's office and disbarred. This was the only one he was caught for but there were many more, he pleaded out for no jail time. After this he went through a divorce where his wife found that Titone hid assets through his parents bank accounts, had cash and jewelry stashed in friends homes and was living with his girlfriend while the family had no electric on in their home because he left his wife with no money to raise 4 children; who today do not speak to him, they have no use for him. He left them high and dry, no food, no electric and no support al all.
