Please bear in mind that this chiller is now 20 years old, and due to normal wear and tear has lost a minimum of at least 10% of efficiency, although it could be much higher than that. The new Multistack chiller as per specifications from the manufacturer requires 24.1 KW to operate. As you can see the new chiller operates at approximately 45% less energy consumption, not withstanding the fact that the existing chiller is 20 years old. This machine is at the end of its useful lifespan, as normal life expectancy is 15 to 20 years. If this machine is used as a backup for emergency situations only it would serve the building well, but to use as a primary part of the chiller plant On a daily basis I would not consider this to be a prudent choice.
