This rare credenza and desk for a standing writer has a super structure containing four drawers flanking a central niche above a cabinet section with one shelf and a sliding access to the upper section of the lower body. The preferred colors were light and dark blue and orangey-reds. This example with finely painted floral and bird subjects is from the areas outside Palermo where the nobles had their country villas.
