residence, located at
I. After being advised of the identity of the interviewing Agent and
the nature of the interview, BARNETT provided the following information:
BARNETT advised that he worked for JEFFREY EPSTEIN for 18 years, from
1995 until 2014. BARNETT was EPSTEIN's Chief Engineer. BARNETT stated that
he applied for the TRUMP organization for a chief engineer job and was
referred to EPSTEIN for and up and coming project at 71st street, the
largest home in New York City. BARNETT stated that he met MAXWELL at the
Trump Organization and via MAXWELL, BARNETT got the job with EPSTEIN.
BARNETT stated that he worked at the 71 street residence, the Island, New
Mexico and Florida residence. BARNETT stated that he was the first one to go
to the Island when it was purchased. BARNETT stated that he has never been
in the Island at the same time with EPSTEIN. BARNETT stated that EPSTEIN has
massages rooms in all his residences and he saw woman coming and going at
all times. BARNETT stated that he kept his distance because he wasn't allow
to be in the same space as EPSTEIN, he only spoke when spoken to.
BARNETT stated that in 18 years never saw anything that sticks out in
regards to EPSTEIN charges. BARNETT said that he knows the new Chief
Engineer NEWYN DELACRUZ and talks to him once in a while. BARNETT said that
he wasn't allow in the meetings about his own work. BARNETT stopped working
for EPSTEIN because he wasn't getting pay good, worked holidays without
extra pay, and had no union.
BARNETT agreed to speak with law enforcement in the future. SA
provided BARNETT with a business card. BARNETT was given a Federal
Grand Jury Subpoena and was instructed to contact the AUSA for further
instructions.
