Page 25 of 32 Nov,, as senators consider Mr. Acosta's nomination for a cabinet position, the sordid details of Mr. Epstein's case are set to receive another public airing. The setting will be a federal courtroom in Manhattan. where a trial is expected to start in the spring in a defamation lawsuit brought against one of Mr. Epstein's associates. Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of the British publishing mogul Robert Maxwell. The lawsuit was filed in 2015 by who said she was one of Mr. Epstein's victims. has accused Ms. Maxwell of helping to procure underage girls to engage in sexual activities with Mr. Epstein. In the suit.MM:ontends that Ms. Maxwell has defamed her by calling those accusations "untrue" and "obvious lies." Ms. Maxwell. in turn, argues that she had the right to publicly defend herself againstMb ccusabons. The trial, if it proceeds, will probably produce a stream of headlines about sex-trafficking, and could renew scrutiny of Mr. Acosta's role in Mr. Epstein's plea deal. The matter goes back to 2005, when Mr. Acosta was the top federal prosecutor in Miami. Police detectives in Palm Beach. Fla., where Mr. Epstein had a home, discovered that women working for him were finding teenage girls to give him sexual massages. Some of the girls were 15 or younger, the authorities said. Mr. Epstein hired a top-tier defense team that included Alan M. Dershowitz. After meeting with the defense lawyers. a state prosecutor recommended that Mr. Epstein be charged only with a misdemeanor. The Palm Beach police chief was so angry about the proposal that he wrote a letter to the Justice Department asking that it get involved in the case. Mr. Epsteln's lawyers eventually shuck a deal under which he agreed to plead guilty in a Florida court to one count of soliciting prostitution and another of procuring a person under 18 for prostitution. As part of the agreement. Mr. Acosta's office agreed not to bring federal charges against Mr. Epstein or any of his potential co- conspirators, court papers show. The deal has since been denounced by critics as an example of the way that prosecutors buckle to pressure brought by high- powered lawyers on behalf of a wealthy client. Mr. Acosta has defended the agreement as the toughest one prosecutors could get based on the evidence they had at the time. As a cabinet nominee, Mr. Acosta may soon face questions about that decision. And and her lawyers have not shied away from publicity. Key insights: Mentions a refuted review of sexual misconduct accusations against Alan Dershowitz.; Notes Ghislaine Maxwell’s nonprofit TerraMar Project and prior funding of Seed Media Group by Epstein ($2 M in 2005).; References Maxwell’s attendance at Chelsea Clinton’s 2010 wedding and a 2014 Iditarod participation claim.

Civil lawsuit alleges Epstein‑Maxwell sex‑trafficking scheme tied to federal plea negotiations and possible high‑level cover‑up

Civil lawsuit alleges Epstein‑Maxwell sex‑trafficking scheme tied to federal plea negotiations and possible high‑level cover‑up The passage provides concrete allegations from a civil complaint (named plaintiff Ransome) that Jeffrey Epstein recruited a young masseuse with promises of fashion‑design work, kept her passport, and forced sex with powerful figures. It links the timeline to a non‑prosecution agreement negotiated by federal prosecutors (including an unnamed Acosta) and notes that the deal quashed an FBI investigation. The mention of Prince Andrew, [REDACTED - Survivor], and potential involvement of senior DOJ officials gives actionable leads (names, dates, alleged transactions) that merit follow‑up, though the claims are unverified and rely on a single civil filing. Key insights: Ransome’s civil complaint (filed Jan 2017) alleges Epstein promised career help in exchange for sex and kept her passport.; Complaint ties alleged abuse to the period when Epstein’s lawyers were negotiating a non‑prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors (Acosta et al.).; The plea deal allowed Epstein to plead guilty to state prostitution charges, receive a private‑wing jail sentence, and allegedly halted an FBI probe into an international trafficking network.

Document alleges extensive financial, academic, and sexual ties between Jeffrey Epstein, Alan Dershowitz, and high‑profile figures including Leslie Wexner, Harvard officials, and political elites

Document alleges extensive financial, academic, and sexual ties between Jeffrey Epstein, Alan Dershowitz, and high‑profile figures including Leslie Wexner, Harvard officials, and political elites The passage provides numerous specific allegations – dates, dollar amounts, meetings, and alleged quid‑pro quo arrangements – that could be pursued for evidence of financial flows, abuse of influence, and coordinated legal obstruction. It implicates powerful actors (Wexner, Harvard leadership, a U.S. state attorney, and potentially members of the British royal family) and suggests systematic surveillance and intimidation of investigators. While many claims are unverified and some are repetitive, the level of detail (e.g., $30 M investment, $1 mansion sale, non‑prosecution agreement clause protecting co‑conspirators) makes it a strong investigative lead. Key insights: 1996 meeting on Epstein’s jet linking Dershowitz to Leslie Wexner’s birthday party.; Epstein’s claim that Wexner sold a Manhattan mansion to him for $1.; 1997 $30 M investment in Boston Provident allegedly sourced from Wexner, with half‑million from Dershowitz.

BuzzFeed Review Finds Little Hard Evidence Linking Bill Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein Crimes, but Flight Logs and Lawyer Claims Provide Leads

BuzzFeed Review Finds Little Hard Evidence Linking Bill Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein Crimes, but Flight Logs and Lawyer Claims Provide Leads The passage summarizes a detailed review of over 2,000 pages of court filings that confirm Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's jet multiple times and that attorneys have attempted to use Clinton's connection in lawsuits. While it concludes there is no concrete proof of sexual misconduct, it identifies specific leads – flight logs, attorney Jack Scarola’s threats, alleged settlement negotiations involving Alan Dershowitz and Ken Starr, and pending lawsuits by [REDACTED - Survivor] – that merit further investigative follow‑up. Key insights: Clinton appears on 13 flight logs for Epstein's private 727 between 2002‑2003, often with Epstein aide Sarah Kellen and Clinton aide Doug Band.; Attorney Jack Scarola warned of "extortionate threats, power, wealth or political pressure" when asked for proof linking Clinton.; [REDACTED - Survivor]' lawsuit alleges Epstein forced her sexual exploitation by "adult male peers" including high‑level figures; she claims Clinton was present on Little St. James Island but later recanted sexual claims against him.
