Background: A 21-year-old Pakistan-American woman was assaulted with acid to her face and hands in a targeted attack
outside her home in March 2021. The case initially started with the Nassau PD and is now being investigated as a possible
hate crime at the federal level.

Update:. A reward is being offered for anyone who can identify who did this attack. VS
with the family again this
week as the victim is enduring PTSD and needs a therapist who specializes in trauma. VS
provided a referral to a
trauma specialist

On 11/10/2020 the sub'ect father did not return to his son to the mother who had full custody. In April 2021 the left behind
mother met with St
here after a IPKA case was opened with both Red and Yellow notices being issued. In
October 2021 while traveling through Serbia the father was arrested on the red notice with the child being reunited with his
mother. The subject is being held and extradition pending. V
as been assisting both mom and minor victim
regarding reunification issues and has connected both to appropriate trauma focused therapists; and has scheduled a
CAFI for 12/9/21.
Training
11/30/2021 VIIMmet with the SAAVE program of Westchester Medical center to explain the NYO VAP and coordination
efforts between the NYO and Westchester Medical center regarding victims appearing in the emergency department.
