The files sent to ASU were made with a , software version rev. 1.32. The recorded data was verified within the vendor's software verification tool, as well as each files 256-hash value, which ensures data verification integrity of the collection. ASU observed two green flags displayed during playback of the sessions within the proprietary software. After contacting the vendor's Engineer, it was determined the two occurrences were consistent with a feature referred to as a "Forced-End Session" in which a session automatically ends when a session reaches a total of 512 mb of data. A new session begins immediately without loss of data. Per the vendor's Engineer, the NANOEAGLE session sizes are cumulative. On this device, a new session is created/split by default when the total session sizes add up to 512 mb. In this case "7_24_25_Tallahassee" recordings contained ten sessions and session number seven was flagged as split, due to sessions 1-7 reaching the 512 mb size limitation (with some included metadata). "7 25 25 Tallahassee" recordings contained six sessions and session number five was flagged as split, due to sessions 1-5 reaching the 512 mb size limitation (with some included metadata). The recorder and the resulting data recorded are consistent with the Engineers description of how the device is intended to be used and recorded. Thanks. I am connecting you with the folks at OAG and OASG who are spearheading this effort. They will have some follow-up tasks and questions for you and your team on the redactions to the audio recordings. I believe they will also have some follow-up questions on the two shorter files we have discussed, for which I know Tommy is working on providing a fuller explanation. One question in the meantime is whether FBI has access to Epstein's medical records that Maxwell discussed in the interview. If you could confirm that either way, that would be great. Let me know if you need anything on my end. Thank you again, a, for you and your team's work on this. Acting Associate Deputy Attorney General (o) (m) (S) (TS) EFTA01656909
