I spoke with the Kentucky lab re: and they said their report should be finished in the next couple of days. I'll let you know as soon as get t e results. Hope your holidays were enjoyable. Ori inal Messa e From: To: Sent: Thu Jan 03 09:22:34 2008 Subject: Epstein According to the Palm Beach Daily News, the state change of plea has been reset for March. The NY Times called our office yesterday asking for comment on specific issues (insinuating that Alex, Jeff, and I all have ulterior motives for the investigation/prosecution). The Office has not yet decided whether it wants to issue a press release or not, but I am putting together some info for them. I did find the letter from Reiter to the victims. During our last meeting with the defense (on Monday), we offered a federal plea, and I have prepared a federal plea agreement and provided it toMnd Alex. They have not yet heard back from defense counsel. EFTA01659967 Assistant U.S. Attorney 500 S. Australian Ave, Suite 400 West Palm Beach, FL 33401 EFTA01659968
