PLEASE try to get Ghislaine Maxwell to give information on the former Gov. of US
Virgin Islands, John DeJongh, who facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's construction and USE
of his private Little St James Island. And about his wife, Cecile DeJongh, who managed
Epstein's business front in St Thomas, VI for 20 years.
If we local inhabitants of St Thomas knew or thought we knew about what was going on,
how could politicians who signed permits, who were aware of how Jeffrey E entered and
left the STT Airport, though his own private exit, and WHO traveled with him, how
could our Senators not know?
Our island is small, people know everyone's business, people gossip. The first rumours
were started by local men who worked on the construction of the island mansion. Airport
handlers and employees were aware of Epstein's facilitated access. Nobody was blind
about his traveling companions.
Besides a good paycheck, what kind of business did Mrs. DeJongh actually oversee at
Jeffrey's STT Office front that would keep her on retainer for 20 years?
This is not a hate letter against the DeJonghs.. But it is about our corrupt, non-
functioning legislators who only know how to line their own pockets with Federal funds
that travel much further than overstaffed inept department employees whose only
professional qualifications are `extended family'.
We follow the Epstein and now Maxwell engin because we are hoping some hard truths
will come to light ,enough to scare current politicians from continuing the same old same
old and getting away with it. Tons of Federal monies come here, but they disappear on
the way to intended projects that never get done, just revised again and again by
`consultants'
We would also like to know who gave the order to the FBI to turn around mid-flight
when they were coming to arrest DeJongh? Was it a lobbyist? Was it a favor called in?
Or was it just gossip on a small island that spreads faster than our never-works phone
company and power-always-off utility company.
We'd like you to follow the money, as they say. (Oh, and they are 4 years behind
processing our 1040 and paying our refunds due).
Please help! Our `helpers & protectors" are too involved and too busy helping their own
selves first.

These are merely the latest (not very good for your research) articles in today's paper.
I gave up trying to save every expose that don't even shame our VI governing body.
But maybe some poking around will scare this recent body into actually making `A
Change" to make up for the last 25 years of blatant graft that allowed Epstein and others
right up to present day take the cream off the USVI and leave the citizens with the
spoiled milk. Follow the money, especially through elected representatives who have
never been held accountable. The citizenry is also complicit because the gov't is the
largest employer, the only employer, so nobody blows a whistle because every family
has some member employed, many not even qualified to do the job.
Please follow up your investigation of SOUTHERN TRUST Epstein's front in the VI.
Citizens here are tired of the shenanigans of our legislators. The Feds send lots of
money, make lots of junkets, and now we are even fair game for lobbyists. Although
we are citizens, and sons can be drafted, we are not allowed to vote for president. BUT
the GOP has been very interested in our nominating convention delegate votes.
There has an Economic Prejudice at work here since 70's...we are considered a Third
World-type area where it is known, and has been TRUE, that the local populace is not
well informed, the legislators are open to bribes, the payoffs for tricky investors huge.
Check out how the EDC here has grown, a complete freebie, for folks who already have
money and trust fund children who want to play at a job...going out of business makes
good tax sense and you can leave after your year or two of fun in the sun.
Airport maintenance, construction workers, anybody that gossips all let word spread
about what was going on at the `pedophile island" since the early days. Governor
deJongh's wife worked for Southern Trust while he had his finger in many other pies and
needless to say heads of many other gov't permitting and regulation offices. Our
legislature is a gravy train. And it got even better with EDC. And it may be interesting
as to why Sussman, Segunda, Bloomberg, and many other high rollers are building here.
I don't run in those circles so don't know names, but I see the McMansions going up.
So many `blind eyes'. Why did a plane coming to arrest DeJongh be ordered to turn
around mid-flight? What lobbyist called in a favor from Feds?
A'A HA(
Thank you for reading my frustration and growing desperation.

available to talk.
Documents obtained from the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority show how officials rarely pressed Mr. Epstein on
his dealings, even as they granted lucrative exemptions that allowed him to pay as little as 10 percent of the effective tax rate in
corporate income tax. The tax breaks are granted to companies that agree to minimum hiring requirements and commit to
investing at least $100,000 in an industry that advances the territory's "economic well-being." Currently 71 companies, including
Southern Trust, receive the incentive.

By the end of 2017, Southern Thirst reported having Sin million th leftover profits.
The development authority did not respond to messages seeking comment.
Government watchdogs and others have long criticized the territory's history of light regulatory oversight. "Rich people have
tried to make it their residence and do business there," said Jack Blum, a Washington lawyer who has led corruption
investigations for several Senate committees. "The idea was to keep it all out of the hands of the I.R.S."
Mr. Epstein set up shop in the Virgin Islands in 1998, calling himself a "financial doctor" who had decided to settle there after
"vacationing up and down the world," according to a transcript of a hearing the next year as he sought tax incentives that were
ultimately granted. During his extensive remarks — an official interrupted Mr. Epstein's soliloquy at one point to remind him he
had only 15 minutes to make a presentation — he discussed working at Bear Stearns and opined about that "electronic mail"
was rendering the fax machine obsolete.
He also boasted about managing money for Leslie H. Wexner, the longtime chief executive of the company that runs Victoria's
Secret, who recently said Mr. Epstein had misappropriated large sums of money from him.
The end of their association is evident in the income statements of Financial Trust. The company reported fee income — money
charged to clients for services, rather than gains from investments — of $66 million in 2006. In 2007, the year that Mr. Wexner
said he had cut ties with Mr. Epstein, Financial Trust's fee income was just shy of $4 million. In 2008, it was $100,000.
Financial Trust reported fee income of $100,000 for the next three years, then none in 2012 — the year Southern Trust was
founded.
In 2013, its first full year in existence, Southern Trust reported fee income of $51 million.

Perhaps Ghislaine Maxwell can fill in some blanks for Epstein's `bewildered'
friends

This, alas, is why it's so hard to believe all the frightful bollocks about "not knowing" being
spouted by so many rich and powerful former friends of Epstein. One of the most telling
admissions in Filthy Rich, the Epstein documentary currently showing on Netflix, comes from the
former telephone engineer on Epstein's private island. "You tell yourself that you didn't know for
sure and you never really saw anything, but that's all just rationalisation. Jeffrey Epstein, he was
a guy who concealed his deviance very well — but he didn't conceal it that well:'
Well, quite. There are many cases of huge and systematic abuse where we still pander to the
people who turned a blind eye to it, by saying that it was "a sophisticated operation". Epstein's
operation was certainly expensive. But was it sophisticated? How sophisticated is it really when
your private Caribbean property is known locally as "Paedophile Island"?
It was much the same with Michael Jackson, whose child abuse operation is again always
described as "sophisticated". And yet, was it? The guy installed a massive fairground outside his
creepy house, told people he slept with kids in his bed, and was dogged for decades by lawsuits
from children — always boys, always around the same age, always alleging the same patterns of
behaviour. Expensive, yes, but not sophisticated. Didn't need to be.
One of Jackson's former advisers once claimed to have said to him: "Michael, you're going to
wind up in a lot of trouble. Why don't you stop all this stuff with the young boys?" Jackson's
deathless reply was: "I don't want to." For me, that is the absolute definitive Michael Jackson
line. "I don't want to." You can hear it now, in that unmistakeable singsong voice, suffused with
an absolute indifference to anything other than personal gratification, and the absolute conviction
that one way or another you're going to get away with it. Which proved to be the case. Why don't
you stop sexually abusing children? "I don't want to."
In the case of Jackson and Epstein's servants, the silence about the "lifestyle issues" of their
employer is unforgivable, yet easily explained. They depended on the men for their income. But
in the case of the many, many rich people who turned a blind eye to Epstein's grotesque
predilections, there really is not even the slightest scintilla of a warped excuse. They knew
enough to know. Donald Trump, of course, was the only one stupid enough to say it out loud,
laughing in an interview that his friend Epstein's girls were "on the younger side". But please
don't suggest Bill Clinton, an extremely clever man, was too stupid to make basic assumptions, or
that even Prince Andrew couldn't have glommed on once Epstein had been convicted of
procuring an underage girl for prostitution. Those are just the presidents and the prince; there are
countless others besides. Perhaps Ghislaine Maxwell will fill in some of the blanks behind their
blankness.
For now, you might think the truly bewildering thing is that so many people didn't say anything.
You might think it's absolutely bewildering that these intelligent, privileged, financially cosseted
individuals never confronted Epstein about something even they must have felt iffy calling a
"lifestyle". And yet, it isn't bewildering. There is, of course, a perfectly simple reason why they
never did the right thing. They didn't want to.

To Julie K Brown, Reporter
Miami Herald
3511 NW 91 Ave. Doral, Florida, U.S. 33172
Dear Ms. Brown,
If you are interested in digging further into the Epstein mess, everyone on St John knew
about Epstein's place on Little St James as it was happening, and with help from those in
authority.
Workmen who built the buildings started the gossip on the street , so we had a head's up.
Political, senatorial palms were greased as is the way with our bureaucracy here when
permits are needed and restrictions overlooked.
Once Epstein started coming, airport workers noticed he did not have to pass through
with the masses. He had his separate door and escort.
Permits and tax breaks were obtained by providing donations & fronts to serve as
blindfolds to keep certain people 'employed'...how can you work for a `front' for 20 yrs
and not realize what was going on when Joe Blow on street did?
When then Gov DeJongh was to be picked up by Feds, who gave the order for plane to
turn around mid-flight and leave him untouched. Follow that lead all the way to
Congress and lobbyists with connections who just had to make a phone call and get a
favor.
And while you are at it why was the son of the Chairman of the Reublican National
Committee sent to St Croix then moved to St John where he now lives and is buying up
property. We can't vote for president, but we DO have 13 delegate votes to the
nominating convention.
We are sick of the political swamp here as well but everybody is interconnected through
family so we get nothing done — even with all the money the VI is given.
Same old story.... It doesn't reach the children or the man on the street. I have had
ENOUGH!
