There will be a m=xture of sunshine and cloudiness during the day today. High temperatures wi=I reach

northeast Caribbea= bringing an increase in shower activity. The wave is moving to the west at=20 miles per hour and
upper level winds are not favorable for development.<=font>
Across the coastal waters, mariners can expect win=s to 18 knots and six foot seas. Small craft should
exercise caution across=the offshore Atlantic waters and local passages. North to northwest swells g=nerated by Katia
will continue to affect the Atlantic waters and all local p=ssages through tonight. Boating and surf zone conditions will
remain hazard=us for at least the next 24 hours.
IN=THE TROPICS
Tropical Depression Fourteen:
On the latest projected path, the storm's center is expected to r=main to the northeast of the Virgin
Islands when it passes on Saturday nigh=. The latest projections keep the storm's center about 81 miles northeast o= St.
Croix around 7 pm Saturday; 41 miles northeast of St. John at 8 pm Sat=rday and 51 miles northeast of St. Thomas at 9
pm Saturday. The weather sys=em would be a strong tropical storm with top winds of 70 miles per hou= when it passes
the territory.
