That is evidenced by their history of service in protecting th=s nation even before they were officially a part of it. And also by the sa=rifices of our brave Purple Heart veterans and their families. It is incumbent upon us all to honor the service and sac=ifices of our heroes, not just today but every day, and not just with acco=modations and medals, but by also making good on the promises we've made t= them and their loved ones when they return from service.
