I'm meeting people right and left, and some of them have been =eally interesting. There are a lot of smart people out here. BUT, I'm =egularly reminded of the dissociation between smarts and being an =ntellectual; most of these guys (and almost all of them are guys) are =ot especially interested in ideas -- and hence are a bit boring to talk =o after I find out what they do and what they plan to do next... =nbsp;My lifestyle here is a bit weird: I've pretty much stayed on East =oast time, and thus am asleep early -- and rarely have dinner with =nybody else. I also drive everywhere, and hence am getting fat fat fat. =esterday I bought an elliptical cross trainer, and I'll get back to =xercising at home in the morning; if I don't do that, I'll need to buy =11 news clothes soon...
