He told me that I should try to finance this by myself early on (at least until one publication laying it out) because if I go to NIH or NSF for funding, someone will jump on the idea. I've been looking for a career change but I can't leave orbit until my own mass increases a little. Plus Steve needs to stay at MSFT for a bit more. What do you think?
