There is nothing "missing" at the top. This Bibliotheque is MY design, as I said with references to EL Escorial, is not design by the Jesuists. 2) The animals and insects were left that colour so they can look as carved from the timber used in the cabinets, and not applied little things, but if you want we can discuss that in situ.
