Should I plan a day in Cambridge bet. the 9th and 21st ? 2) on timing, my sense is that (from follow-up questions I was asked) the Center forBus+Govt is completing its due diligence on perspective Fellows right these days and they will make a decision very soon, probably prior to my trip to the US. Do you suggest any actions to make sure my proposal is fully appreciated (e.g. I am not looking for financing; fellowship is about research but also about transitioning from business to /Govmnt) and my committment to physically move to Cambridge understood (they were concerned I wanted to be an off-campus fellow) ? I appreciate your advise and support. Re David Gergen: on Tue 7/12 he should be guest speaker at the WEF offices in NY for a group of YGL. I will be there but it may not be the best time to talk. If he is available for a "Ion I" while he is NY (earlier or later that day or the following days) that would be great. If not, I am happy to go for a day to sec him from NY to Cambridge later in the week or early the following. Don't know if possible, but it would certainly be great to catch both Gergen and Summers on the same day in Boston ! I am very flexible on the day. Anyway. pis advice on next steps on my part.
