GIV will return to Islip Wednesday Oct 3rd evening 7:30pm repairs, The aircraft will be in Islip
until Oct 13th. to complete this list.
#1 item Nosc Camera needs be addressed during this visit.
Divan-
JE notes that the foam build up on the GIV is different than the Glib.
Additionally, JE states that the foam densities on the new back and bottom cushions of
the divan in the GIV are different and noticeable when you deploy the divan to the
berthing position. I want to open up both divans to personally see and identify the foams
that were used. Bottom line is that Jeffrey wants us to use the foam from the Glib in the
new upholstery for the GIV. (while opening the divan, the rear seat divan cushion does
not fit into place, requires pulling up velcro on seat bottom to adjust so seat back lays
flat, the Gil is easier to operate, when you extend the divan to bed mode on Gil its one
motion.) seat belts need to be hidden better, the make lump in bed mode, look at Gil
seat belt storage.
Entry Curtain-
Jeffrey had noted previously that he would like the gap between the top of the entry rain
curtain and the headliner kept to an absolute minimum to help keep the noise out from
the entry door to the cabin.
Main Cabin Area Fluorescent Lighting-
As identified prior to flight, there are certain lights in the upwash / downwash lighting that
are inoperative and/or intermittent.
this item was working normal on arrival before interior removal.
RJH Galley-
Difficulty deploying the fwd slide out cutting board. (During pressurized flight, works
normal on ground.)
Doors -
PROT8
PROT0
There are a couple of door in the galley and aft lavatory that opened in flight. (doors
under bathroom sink.)
Aft Lavatory to Baggage Door-
JE identified that the door would not latch properly. ( in flight, while pressurized) works
normal on ground).
L/H #2 Single Seat-
JE noted that when compared to the R/H #2 seat, the electric seat function controls are
not sequenced the same (fwd / middle / aft switch functions). Additionally, JE would like
to know if there is a way to limit" the recline on this seat so that the passenger does not
'crush" the back of the aft facing double seat?
R/H #2 Master Switch Panel-
JE had previously requested that we look into if MCC could reprogram the two (2)
discarded switch functions to control the shades 'ALL UP" and 'ALL DOWN".
Galley and Lavatory Door/Drawers-
JE had requested we apply the clear bumpers to prevent the doors and drawers from
rattling. Eric, Not sure if the clear bumpers are appropriate choice for this application,
FELT pads may prove to be quieter. especially (the R/H forward galley upper cabinet,
the Newley replated latch has no spring tension on the latch, which is allowing the latch
itself to rattle, The bathroom door to aft Lay rattles,
Tables-
JE noted difficulty in the deployment / stowing of the side ledge tables in flight. The VIP
tray table lid does not open DURING flight under pressurized flight, works normal on
ground, needs more clearance.
Entertainment System -
Obviously we need to send the battery back-up out for repair/ replacement so that it
holds the institute settings of the head unit.
Cockpit Camera- Need nose camera installed or repair of current system.
PROT9
PROT1
- Need Felt or padding on bottom of Microwave chamber door, to prevent rattles.
-Hinges on doors below the sink in aft Lay are loose when doors are open,
-When tray tables are open, the mechanism that holds table top firm rests on fabric side panel, it
was discussed to fabricate Titanium or stainless steel (waterfall decorative type of cap to this
area would allow the tray table to rest on this surface finning table top, diving board issue still
exists.
-Clear rubber/Felt micro pads for tray tables halves, when stowing table the two wood surfaces
meet.
- VIP tray table still rattles
-Need Iphone lightening cord phone charger hard wired for VIP seat, JE mentioned a lightening
cord to come up from bottom of cup holder, since his phone sits in Cup holder during flight.
-Sec attached photo, JEE request the opening flap on Tray tables to be Routed longer for easy
opening of tray lid.
PROT10
PROT2
Larry, please add or expand on the items on this list so that we can clearly identify and
understand the squawk and so that we all work off of one (1) list to resolve these items.

Jay and Larry,
I have exchanged numerous e-mails with Jeffrey last night and this morning. Further,
Jeffrey and I just spoke on the phone discussing a few of the squawks.
By no means is below the total list - just a few of the items that were discussed to be
