It's called "Dubai" by Robin Moore, the guy who wrote The French Connection. It's "fiction" but it's mostly all true. Robin Moore went to Dubai and spent a lot of time researching the book. My friend who ran Citibank back then remembers. Some of the names have been changed, but it's basically right. It talks about all of the crazy shit they did to make money. Documents the gold smuggling to India and everything. It's banned in the UAE. When the book came out, Sheikh Mohamed bought the rights to the book and put it out of print.
