I am modeling the emergence of goals and decision making from a set of cognitive, physiological and social drives, and the emergence of affect from cognitive modulation. I would also be vety interested in learning more about Deb Roy's work, because I love the paradigm of stepping up the ladder of child performance as a way of understanding the mind.
