I told him when we talked initially that I do not expect bgi doing super detailed due diligence. They just need to check if there are any red flags — and if none that I expect that it goes fast and easy (as previous due diligence was done by KP, Khosla etc). His 25M previously undisclosed investment at the same discounted valuation made me look like an idiot and it triggered bgi to look into more details. I told bgi that there is no more investment coming in (until a large one from Goldman that would increase valuation to 2.2 or so) and that we are the only one to get this valuation at this time point. I ended up looking naïve and stupid. I do not know what Kleinier told bgi re Hosain. I just know that Kleiner did very poor diligence — please note that they entered in the higher valuation of 1.5B!
