I was in France and Switzerland all last week. The luxury bed linen company D. Ponhault is in the French equivalent of Chapter II. It's been very poorly managed by its American owners (DC lawyer bought it as a present for his wife). I think there is huge potential, though a very messy situation. I know that I mentioned some time ago that she was selling it. However, you should know the price has now dropped significantly to Euros 5M (from an original asking price of 10). The difference between this Chateau and most of the others on the market is that her late husband literally rebuilt it from the ground up in the early '90s. So all wiring, plumbing, foundations etc (the normal curse of buying an old property) are in first class condtion. All the bedrooms are en suite and there is also a lift. It has one more significant difference in that Venetia has planted the most beautiful 'English' garden which has now matured to perfection.
