The new Apple TV will be available in late October. No announced date for preorders, yet. Important to note on the Apple TV is that there is no longer a separate audio output — everything goes through the HDMI cable. If the projector or tv that it's plugged into doesn't support audio-over-HDMI, it won't work. I'm not sure if any of the current setups rely on the optical audio cable going to a separate receiver currently, but they will need to be reconfigured to work with the new model. 2.
