They would be useful for fixed locations where: • there was saturation of AT&T signal outside but poor signal penetration inside (ie 71st St), and EFTA_R1_00703889 EFTA02099073 • you had no terrestrial internet connection options (cable internet or FIOS will always be faster and better), and • only needed to get one computer connected (does not work with iPhones, iPads, N, etc.) It basically runs a cable from a box which is mounted outside to a desk to plug into the USB card: <3859_1516_momentumjack.jpeg> It wouldn't work for the Ranch because: 1. It only connects ONE computer, via USB (can't integrate it into the wifi network) 2. It is a fixed cable that you're tethered to (not moving it between rooms) 3. HSPA+ (which AT&T brands as 4G) is much slower than LTE, generally maxing out at 5 Mbps download. The VZW connection at the ranch is averaging 18 Mbps for download via LTE with the HomeFusion equipment currently installed. AT&T has NO LTE coverage of that region (HSPA+ only), so even if there was an LTE version of this antenna / card, it wouldn't work because AT&T hasn't built out their LTE network in that area.
