If you could just pass this along to Jeffrey that would be so great. For starters. I've r few tim to get in touch over the years. As I said, I've been working as a for the past four years, which I could not have done without my gree - an that I completely owe to Jeffery. I've wanted to say thanks again so many times. Also, I was so busy with school at the time, that I think the painting I finally gave him was pretty bad, and I felt embarrassed about that. I was trying to be "smart" about it but in the end - well, not the best result. Anyway, my attempts to call or write failed, since the contact info for you guys seems to have changed. I was recently reminded of my time with the folks because the past few months I have found myself in this crazy legal nightmare for which I am ill-e ui ed. For the st six and half years I'd been living in the same But the landlord started trying to force out the lower paying tenants by a number of unfortunate means. Anyway, I was on vacation over new years when my landlord evicted me by shady means (even though I'd been paying all the rent and still had a valid lease!!) and took all of my possessions. Literally everything. What happened after that is kind of a long story, but there was a daily news article about it (along with an unflattering, exhausted looking photo, alas): I've been shocked by how unhelpful the city has been, and how unsympathetic the judge. My lawyer said she was "clearly corrupt". The landlord is quite wealthy and owns many properties as part of a larger investment scheme, and he hired some very bossy and mean lawyers who've managed to insinuate incredible, wrong things. The whole thing has been quite demoralizing. Anyway, to put it plainly - I'm being screwed over. The DA is helping a little bit now, and says that everything that happened to me was illegal, but still justice doesn't seem to be working anyway! I know Jeffrey is quite busy, but I thought he might be able to make suggestions - or suggest someone who could make some suggestions, etc. It may be too late now to fix things, I don't know. Also I would love to visit and say hi if he ever had the time, I really would. I can bring cookies :) Hugs to you all, and hope you're enjoying the spring! xo EFTA_R1_00854399 EFTA02171861
