Emails Reveal Federal Prosecutors Suppressed Victim Count and Co‑Conspirators in Jeffrey Epstein Plea Deal

Emails Reveal Federal Prosecutors Suppressed Victim Count and Co‑Conspirators in Jeffrey Epstein Plea Deal The passage cites internal emails from a federal prosecutor indicating a deliberate effort to downplay the number of victims and co‑conspirators in Epstein's 2008 plea deal. This provides a concrete lead—specific names, dates, and a documented email—that could be pursued to investigate prosecutorial misconduct and potential obstruction. While the actors (federal prosecutors, judges) are high‑level, the claim is not yet publicly verified, making it a strong but not yet blockbuster lead. Key insights: September 2007 email from federal prosecutor A. Marie Villafafia to Epstein’s lawyer mentions co‑conspirators and a desire to hide them from the judge.; Circuit Court Judge Deborah Dale Pucillo asked about the number of victims and whether they agreed to the plea terms.; Assistant state prosecutor Lanna Belohlavek responded that several victims existed and were in agreement, despite later claims of limited disclosure.

Even from jail, Jeffrey Epstein manipulated the system | Miami Herald Page 9 of 17 Case 1:19-cv-03377 Document 1-1 Filed 04/16/19 Page 10 of 18 “Are there more than one victim?”’ Circuit Court Judge Deborah Dale Pucillo asked the prosecutor at Epstein’s sentencing on June 30, 2008. “There’s several,” replied assistant state prosecutor Lanna Belohlavek. “Are all the victims in both of these cases in agreement with the terms of this plea?”‘ Pucillo later asked. “Yes,’‘ Belohlavek replied, telling the judge that she had spoken to “several” of Epstein’s victims. Emails show that federal prosecutors didn’t want the judge to know how many victims and accomplices there were. Federal prosecutor A. Marie Villafafia— in a September 2007 email to Epstein lawyer Jay Lefkowitz — said: “I will mention co-conspirators but I would prefer not to highlight for the judge all the other crimes and all the other persons that we could charge.” Attorney Spencer Kuvin happened to be in court that day because he’d heard Epstein was to appear, but Kuvin didn’t know why. He figured he’d use it as an opportunity to serve Epstein with civil court papers involving one of several victims he represented. Instead, he listened to what was happening and couldn’t believe that no one had contacted him or his clients. “T was shocked to learn that the proceeding involved my client’s case and there was nothing I could do except watch as they disposed of her case without ever telling her,” Kuvin said. At the hearing, Belohlavek and Epstein’s attorney, Goldberger, were in sync, the court transcript shows. Epstein would be required to register as a sex offender, but his probation would not be served under the strict requirements of sex offender probation. Jeffrey Epstein is a registered sex offender in New York State and Florida. Emily Michot E//[email protected] The judge didn’t question those provisions, but she did ask why Epstein was going to serve his sentence in the Palm Beach County stockade instead of ina Florida state prison, like most sex offenders. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article2 19494920 html 4/3/2019

[REDACTED - Survivor] v. Alan Dershowitz – Allegations of Sex Trafficking, NPA Manipulation, and Defamation The complaint provides a dense web of alleged connections between Alan Dershowitz, Jeffrey Epstein, former U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, and the 2008 non‑prosecution agreement (NPA). It cites specific actions (e.g., alleged drafting of the NPA, defamatory statements, settlement confidentiality) and dates that could be pursued for documentary evidence, witness interviews, and financial‑flow analysis. If substantiated, the lead would expose potential prosecutorial misconduct and high‑level collusion, generating major public outrage. Key insights: Roberts alleges she was trafficked by Epstein from 2000‑2002 and forced to have sex with Dershowitz.; Dershowitz is accused of helping draft and pressure the government into the 2008 NPA that shielded Epstein and co‑conspirators.; Acosta, then U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, approved the NPA; later became Trump’s Secretary of Labor.

Emails Reveal Federal Prosecutors Suppressed Victim Count and Co‑Conspirators in Jeffrey Epstein Plea Deal The passage cites internal prosecutor emails indicating a deliberate effort to hide the number of victims and potential co‑conspirators from the judge, providing a concrete lead (specific email, sender, recipient, date) that can be pursued through FOIA or court record requests. It implicates federal prosecutors and a state judge, raising controversy over the handling of the plea. While not entirely novel, the specific mention of A. Marie Villafafia emailed Epstein’s lawyer in Sep 2007 stating she would mention co‑conspirators but preferred not to highlight them for the judge.; Judge Deborah Dale Pucillo asked about the number of victims and whether they agreed to the plea; prosecutors answered vaguely.; Assistant state prosecutor Lanna Belohlavek claimed to have spoken to “several” victims, but the exact count was concealed.
