Discussion of footnote usage in legal pleadings and professor statements at University of Utah

It mentions no specific high‑profile individuals, agencies, financial transactions, or misconduct. There are no actionable leads, dates, or concrete details that could be pursued, making it low‑value noise. Key insights: Mentions University of Utah faculty expressing varied views on crime victim rights.; Describes adding a footnote to a pleading at the suggestion of a law school dean.; References a dropped signature block that was later corrected.

The -- a school like the University of Utah has, gosh, several hundred faculty members, if not more, and so any time a member of the University of Utah speaks, they are giving their views on the subject. There may be a range of views. Some Professors at the university of Utah may be in favor of crime victim rights. Other Professors may be opposed to crime victim rights. Young people generally jump to the conclusion that just because they are hearing a Professor from a particular school speak, that that necessarily means that they are saying something that the university endorses. Q. If that's true, why do you include the footnote on some pleadings? A. Well, I included the footnote in this particular case, the dean at the law school said, hey, you know, it might be useful just to drop a footnote in just to make sure that there's no misunderstanding and I said, sure, I would be glad to do that. And so I think pleadings, in this case leading up to this, had the star footnote. Apparently on the signature block had got dropped out. And then we were able to fix that ina couple of days on this one. ROUGH DRAFT ONLY

Snowden’s encrypted outreach to Laura Poitras via Freedom of the Press Foundation insiders

Snowden’s encrypted outreach to Laura Poitras via Freedom of the Press Foundation insiders The passage details a concrete chain of encrypted communications linking Edward Snowden, through Freedom of the Press Foundation CTO Lee, to journalist Laura Poitras. It identifies specific aliases, dates, and key individuals (Glenn Greenwald, William Binney, Thomas Drake, Julian Assange) and mentions the use of PGP/TOR. While the overall narrative is already public, the specific mention of Lee’s role as a gateway and the timeline (Jan 23 2013) provide actionable leads for verifying communication logs, key exchanges, and possible undisclosed contacts within the foundation. Key insights: Snowden used alias “Anon108” to contact Lee, CTO of Freedom of the Press Foundation.; Lee supplied Poitras’ public PGP key to Snowden after confirming the alias.; Snowden later used alias “Citizen Four” on Jan 23 2013, falsely claiming senior intelligence roles.
