Epstein Meeting with Former Officials Discussing Bitcoin and Potential Influence Deals

Epstein Meeting with Former Officials Discussing Bitcoin and Potential Influence Deals The passage links Jeffrey Epstein to a series of high‑profile former officials (Eric Holder, Larry Summers, Kevin Rudd, Thorbjorn Jagland, Ehud Barak, and former White House Counsel Kathy Ruemmler) in a setting where Bitcoin investment and political influence are discussed. While the account is anecdotal and lacks hard evidence, it provides specific names, a timeline, and a context (investment advice, potential patronage) that could be pursued for corroboration, making it a moderately strong investigative lead. Key insights: Epstein allegedly told the author that Attorney General Eric Holder would resign within a week (which occurred).; Brook Pierce, a former child actor and dot‑com executive turned Bitcoin investor, is presented as a key Bitcoin figure.; Larry Summers is described as evaluating Bitcoin opportunities and expressing concern about reputational risk.

“Why we camp out here? I find that question as mysterious as you do,” says Weingarten. Shortly after Weingarten leaves, Epstein tells me that Eric Holder will resign by the end of the week—which he does. Epstein summons in the next person cooling his heels in the ante- room. It’s a young man named Brook Pierce, a former child actor, and dotcom high flyer—a principle in a gaming company called DEN, a notorious dotcom burnout, with its own sex scandal—who is now a leading investor in Bitcoin. He describe himself as the “the most active investor in the field.” And, indeed, is the first clear explanation I actually get about Bitcoin. It is so good that Epstein stops him and checks to see if his next appointment is here. And seconds later, Larry Summers, the former treasury secretary and President of Harvard, enters the dining room. Summers, off Diet Coke, digs deep into the Shakes chocolates, focuses in on the Bitcoin investor. “Okay,” he says, after listening for a bit, “I have opportunities here. But an additional feature of my decision problem roughly speaking 1s that the worst that could happen to you is that you could lose all the money you put into it. Whereas, I could go—I mean I don’t look that great now—but I could go from being seen as a figure of some probity and some intelligence to being a figure of much less intelligence and much less probity...” “Well,” says Pierce in what in some dramatic understatement, “you are going to have some low quality characters playing the space...” That evening, there is a small cocktail party, which includes the former Prime Minister of Australian, Kevin Rudd, and Thorbjorn Jaglandthe head of the Noble Peace Prize Committee, who offers an affable, but general scathing, critique of U.S. diplomacy (and a brief defense of Obama’s Peace Prize award) and to whom Epstein offers a ride back to Europe on his jet. The next morning, it’s Ehud Barack, the former Israeli Prime Minister and Israel, for breakfast. Barack is, over his omelet, able to defend both Obama and Putin. Then Kathy Ruemmler, who has just left her job as White House Counsel joins. She is already in the mix as a possible next attorney general, but, in fact, will withdraw from consideration in part to work with Epstein. Larry Summers wife, Elisa New, drops by. She teaches American poetry at Harvard and is putting together a proposal for a series on poetry that WGBH in Boston may produce and Epstein is advising on where she might go for added support (he also makes mince meat of her budget). Epstein Meeting Links Former U.S. Officials and Global Leaders to Early Bitcoin Discussions and Potential Policy Influence

Epstein Meeting Links Former U.S. Officials and Global Leaders to Early Bitcoin Discussions and Potential Policy Influence The passage names multiple high‑ranking former officials (Larry Summers, Eric Holder, Ehud Barak, Kevin Rudd, Thorbjorn Jagland, Kathy Ruemmler) gathering with Jeffrey Epstein to discuss Bitcoin. It provides a concrete claim that Holder’s resignation was foretold by Epstein and that Summers considered “opportunities” in cryptocurrency, suggesting possible coordination on policy or financial flows. These specifics (names, dates, Bitcoin focus) give clear investigative avenues (calendar logs, email trails, financial records) and would generate major public outcry if substantiated, while the Bitcoin angle adds novelty beyond previously reported Epstein‑politician meetings. Key insights: Epstein told the narrator that Eric Holder would resign within the week – Holder did resign on Feb. 22, 2013.; Larry Summers, former Treasury Secretary and Harvard President, engaged in a detailed discussion about Bitcoin with investor Brook Pierce.; Brook Pierce is identified as a leading early Bitcoin investor and former dot‑com executive.

Anecdotal Memoir of Jeffrey Epstein’s Social Circle and Alleged Activities

Anecdotal Memoir of Jeffrey Epstein’s Social Circle and Alleged Activities The passage is a rambling, largely unverified personal recollection that names many high‑profile individuals but provides no concrete dates, transactions, or documentary evidence. It suggests possible connections (e.g., Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, Bill Clinton, Qatar foreign minister) to Epstein’s gatherings, but offers no verifiable leads such as court docket numbers, financial records, or specific wrongdoing beyond already public allegations. As such, it is of limited investigative usefulness, though the mention of a new Florida filing that adds Prince Andrew and Dershowitz to a sex‑slave claim could merit a cursory check of docket filings. Key insights: Claims a recent Florida lawsuit added Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz to a sex‑slave allegation against Epstein.; Lists a wide array of powerful guests at Epstein’s Manhattan dining room (e.g., Larry Summers, Qatar foreign minister, Brock Pierce, Kevin Rudd, Ehud Barak, etc.).; Mentions a purported $20 million settlement paid by Epstein after his 2008 conviction.

Anecdotal Memoir of Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan Mansion and Guest List

Anecdotal Memoir of Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan Mansion and Guest List The passage is a largely narrative, unverified recollection that lists many high‑profile names (Bill Gates, Larry Summers, Prince Andrew, etc.) but provides no concrete dates, transactions, or documentary evidence. It suggests possible leads—e.g., a Florida lawyer’s recent filing linking Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz to a “sex‑slave” ring, and a reported security detail for a “controversial head of state”—yet these are presented without corroboration, citations, or actionable details. The content is highly sensational and could provoke public outcry if true, but its investigative usefulness is limited by the lack of verifiable facts. Key insights: Epstein allegedly hosted daily briefings for a rotating roster of wealthy and powerful individuals in his Manhattan dining room.; A recent Florida court filing (eight years after the original suit) allegedly adds new plaintiffs and names high‑profile figures such as Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz in a sex‑slave allegation.; Epstein is described as advising Bill Gates on expanding the Gates Foundation’s funding mechanisms.
