When the U.S. Department of Justice released over 3.5 million pages of Epstein documents on January 30, 2026, under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, one name caught the sports world off guard. Brian Vickers, the former NASCAR Busch Series champion who won the title in 2003 at age 20, appeared in more than 100 documents spanning at least 2012 to 2019.

Vickers married Sarah Kellen in 2013. Kellen was Epstein's primary day-to-day scheduler and was named as one of four co-conspirators in the 2008 Non-Prosecution Agreement, alongside Nadia Marcinkova, Lesley Groff, and Adriana Ross. All four received immunity from federal prosecution. A federal judge described Kellen as "criminally responsible" during Ghislaine Maxwell's 2022 sentencing. She appeared on approximately 364 flight legs on Epstein's aircraft.

The EFTA documents show the relationship between Vickers and Epstein went far beyond the marriage connection.

The Correspondence

On February 14, 2019, just five months before Epstein's arrest, Vickers emailed him: "Happy Valentines Buddy" with a winky-face emoji and an attachment. The casual tone suggests a friendship that remained active through the very end.

On March 24, 2012 (efta-01838927), Vickers forwarded sexually explicit material to Epstein's personal email ([email protected]) with the subject line "Fwd: Male Fairy tail." His email signature identified him as operating through Requiro Scientia LLC.

In July 2012, Vickers sent Epstein multiple links to suggestive photo galleries. Epstein then forwarded at least one of these to Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the Dubai businessman and DP World chairman who would later resign over his own Epstein connections.

On July 19, 2012 (efta-02313014), Vickers invited Epstein to join his iCloud "Business" calendar, indicating an integrated professional relationship.

Financial Entanglement

The documents reveal Epstein provided financial advice to Vickers. On April 2-3, 2013 (efta-01898730), Vickers wrote: "I appreciate you taking the time with me before leaving as well. I always enjoy our discussions." Epstein responded: "A financial statement is always first and foremost so if you could provide one that would be a good start."

On February 7, 2018 (efta-02531218), Vickers wrote about real estate: "Jeffrey, Thank you! I wasn't ignoring your last request. I was pulling what info I could together... The comps in our building are $3500/sq ft." Epstein advised: "only as a result of you asking for my advice... I suggest the following. 1 real numbers are needed. real market numbers. ie put the apt on the market to see what bids you get... ask for 10m."

Multiple Fifth Third Bank documents were found in EFTA files related to Vickers Investments LLC and Requiro Scientia LLC, including bank statements spanning 2013-2019, mortgage documents, and a Master Loan and Security Agreement dated February 14, 2014.

Danny Vickers and the Island Payroll

Perhaps the most troubling discovery involves an apparent relative. On June 16, 2012 (efta-02556252), Epstein emailed attorney Richard Kahn: "calculate all in cost to bring danny vickers to Isj payroll." "Isj" refers to Little Saint James, Epstein's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

A follow-up email from April 20, 2012 (efta-02553453) references Danny Vickers in connection with maintenance work: "Switches at flag Pool done, lights on trees will be Monday" at "Little Saint James, USVI." Danny Vickers appears to have been doing electrical and maintenance work on Epstein's island while on his payroll.

NASCAR Knew

On May 30, 2013, an email shows the general manager of Michael Waltrip Racing called about Vickers' involvement with the Epstein sex trafficking ring because of stories surfacing online, expressing concern that it could affect Aaron's sponsorship for the 2014 season. The sponsorship went through regardless. Vickers drove the No. 55 for Michael Waltrip Racing with Aaron's sponsorship in 2014.

On June 21, 2014 (efta-02585325), Vickers wrote to Epstein from what appears to have been a race weekend: "Do you know him? We were with him at dinner tonight and going to hear him speak tomorrow morning before qualifying. Very interesting guy." He was asking about futurist Peter Diamandis.

No Flights, Many Questions

Despite the extensive email correspondence, no flight records for Brian Vickers appear in Epstein's aircraft logs. Vickers has never been charged with any crime related to Epstein. Neither Vickers nor NASCAR have provided public comment on the documents.

In April 2025, Vickers announced his divorce from Sarah Kellen via social media: "After ten years of marriage and five years under a rock on social media I'm coming out of digital hiding to share some heavy news: Sarah and I are getting divorced." The divorce was finalized in December 2025. Court records from the settlement reveal Vickers received $600,000, a massage table, and Israeli artifacts. The settlement also included an embryo destruction order.

The Epstein Exposed database links Vickers to 127 documents across EFTA releases, DS10 financial records, House Oversight materials, and DocumentCloud court filings.
