In approximately 2000, Rockefeller also appointed Epstein to the board of directors of Rockefeller University, lending him significant institutional legitimacy. ' These introductions were pivotal in establishing Epstein's credibility among scientific and financial elites. Rockefeller died on March 20, 2017, at age 101, two years before Epstein's arrest on federal charges.
