According to DOJ-released documents indexed by Epstein Exposed, Dmitry Rybolovlev appears in 50 case documents, and 6 email records in the Epstein files.
Dmitry Rybolovlev is a Russian billionaire who made his fortune in the potash fertilizer industry through Uralkali. In July 2008, he purchased the Palm Beach estate Maison de l'Amitie from Donald Trump for $95 million, more than double the $41.35 million Trump had paid for it four years earlier, a transaction that occurred during the financial crisis when comparable properties were losing value. Epstein and Trump both bid on the same property in a 2004 auction. Trump won. When Rybolovlev later purchased it at the inflated price, Epstein suspected the deal involved a Russian oligarch close to Putin and, according to documents in the EFTA archive, threatened to expose the arrangement.
Steve Bannon later told Epstein he was "the one person I was truly afraid of coming forward during the campaign." Rybolovlev demolished the mansion in 2016 and sold the subdivided lots for a combined $108 million. His divorce proceedings in Geneva revealed that he had "not purchased or managed any real estate in Florida for investment purposes," raising further questions about the nature of the transaction. He appears in approximately 50 documents in the Epstein archive, primarily in connection with the Palm Beach property deal and related financial communications.
