Mikhail Prokhorov is a Russian billionaire who made his fortune in metals and banking through Norilsk Nickel and Onexim Group. He owned the Brooklyn Nets from 2010 to 2019 and ran for president of Russia in 2012. The EFTA archive contains direct evidence of social overlap between Prokhorov and Epstein's network. In May 2014, a woman texted Epstein about attending "Prokhorov's party" after leaving another event. In March 2016, communications show Prokhorov actively seeking an introduction to Warren Buffett through Epstein, with an associate writing: "Prokhorov asking to meet Warren Buffett.
Can we organize?" Another text from the same period references a "Belorussian blonde coming March 8" and recommends maintaining a relationship with another woman "because she knows all the girls." A separate October 2018 email in the archive describes Prokhorov and his associate Baibakov as "killers" and states that "Prokhorov has a lot to hide." The sender expressed fear for their personal safety. Prokhorov appears in approximately 69 documents in the Epstein archive.
